Who We Are
History and background of the Rotary Club.
The Rotary Club of Uptown Kampala (Rotary ID Number: 226641), chartered on 17th February 2025 is fully registered as a company limited by guarantee by the Uganda Registration Services Bureau. It holds physical weekly meetings on Fridays from 7.00pm at the Canary Hotel in Bukoto (Kampala), with exception for public holidays. It belongs to the Rotary International District 9213 that covers over 120 clubs across in Uganda, and currently consists of 33 active members.
The Club plans to approach its activities in a broader context through a five-year strategic plan covering the period from 2025/26 to 2029/30. The strategic focus will be on increasing services to communities and strengthening the mobilization of resources for both existing and planned projects, and compliance to guidelines given by Rotary International and the Rotary District.
