The Uptown Jam: Music, Fellowship, and Service in Perfect Harmony
The Rotary Club of Uptown Kampala once again lived up to its vibrant spirit of fellowship and innovation with the Uptown Jam, a fundraising event that included a lively day of music, connection, and purpose. On 8 November at Streamside Park Rotarians, friends of Rotary, and music lovers from across Kampala converged for an unforgettable day that blended entertainment with impact.
The Uptown Jam was more than just a musical showcase—it was a celebration of Rotary’s commitment to service through fun and fellowship. Local artists and DJs kept the crowd on their feet with thrilling performances, while attendees enjoyed an atmosphere of camaraderie, laughter, and shared goodwill. True to Rotary tradition, the day also served a greater purpose, raising funds in support of our club’s City ku City project, aimed at preventing non-communicable diseases through early detention, health education and medical camps.
This event was an incredible reminder that entertainment can also advance Rotary’s mission. The Uptown Jam captured what Uptown is all about—energy, togetherness, and service above self,
Guests praised the event’s unique mix of music and meaning, describing it as a refreshing way to engage new audiences with Rotary’s work. The successful turnout reaffirmed Uptown Kampala’s reputation as one of the most dynamic and socially engaging clubs in District 9213.
As the night drew to a close, it was clear that the Uptown Jam had struck the right note—uniting people through rhythm, service, and fellowship. The Rotary Club of Uptown Kampala continues to prove that when purpose meets passion, great things happen.
Look out for the next Uptown Jam scheduled for 7 November 2026.
